All Factory Refurbished products offered by GetFeetWet Navigation are
clearly identified/labeled in the product page either as part of the
Product Title or Product Description. If the reference to a Factory
Refurbished product is not mentioned in any part of the product page, then
product can be assumed to be Brand New for all intents and purposes.
Factory Refurbished packages have manufacturer stickers clearly
identifying them as Factory Refurbished as not to be mistaken as Brand New
units.
GetFeetWet warrants that the condition
of any product as identical to the condition of the product when it
left the manufacturer's facilities.
2) GetFeetWet is highly
selective in the products it carries and makes available to its clients.
Aside from Brand New units, GetFeetWet only carries Factory Refurbished
units which it warrants as in Brand-New-Condition and with the same
factory warranty as Brand New units.
3) Quite simply,
GetFeetWet does not offer for sale "used" or Customer-Returned units.
4) Factory Refurbished units
typically fall into 2 general categories:
a) Defective units returned by customer as part of
product warranty
b) Unsold units returned unused by dealers and
distributors
GetFeetWet will only carry Factory Refurbished falling under category b).
5) In many cases, newly
released Factory Refurbished units are better than Brand New units that
have been sitting in dealer shelves for quite a while. Factory Refurbished
units are inspected and and tested as part of the refurbishing process.
Firmware of Factory Refurbished units are also updated. Finally, all
outdated accessories and documentation are replaced with most recently
released versions.

Through its 3rd party warranty provider (see
Details), GetFeetWet offers 3yr or 5yr extended warranties to provide
quality assurance over and beyond those provided by product
manufacturers for their brand new units. This extended warranty is
in addition to the factory warranty and only kicks-in after the factory
warranty has expired. The cost of these extended warranties are in most
cases either free or deeply discounted for Factory Refurbished units.
