standard vector basemap format. This unit also offers the optional
BlueChart® g2 Vision card which provides high-resolution aerial
reference photos for help navigating tricky harbors and channels — or
locating spots like area marinas, fuel stops or restaurants. The g2
Vision plug-in SD data card also allows the GPSMAP 4212 to graphically
depict a true 3D “mariner’s eye” topside view or “fish eye” underwater
navigation perspective.

continuously-delivered weather directly on the GPSMAP 4208 or 4212’s
high-resolution
display. Vital weather data, such as NEXRAD radar, forecasts, and
current conditions is graphically displayed directly on the unit — so
you can spend more
time enjoying the water and less time worrying about the weather. In
addition, users can receive XM Satellite Radio’s 150-plus channels of
commercialfree
music, sports, news, talk, and entertainment programming (XM Satellite
Radio subscription required).
GSD 22 Remote Sounder
The GSD 22 is a powerful remote sounder that can plug directly into the
GPSMAP 4208 or GPSMAP 4212. The GSD 22’s digital design and up to 2 kW
of
transmit power (depending on transducer used) provides extraordinary
target definition and deep water performance. Transmit power and
receiver gain
automatically adjusts to produce excellent shallow water performance as
well. The GSD 22 works with dual frequency (200/50 kHz) transducers –
everything from a standard 500 W transom mount transducer to heavy-duty
2 kW thru-hull or in-hull transducers and can reach depths to 5,000
feet.
